During the course of development, we were faced with deciding to completely abandon the process of going direct to consumer and flipping the product into an enterprise solution and running a SAAS model. When we explained this to Jayant, within a day or two, he had established an entirely new scope of work and a strong plan for us to be able to move forward with no downtime. I’m reluctant to say that this contract is over because it’s only the beginning of a long term partnership. Until now we haven’t hired any internal developers, and I don’t foresee us doing so for a while. Even though there is a time difference, it feels like we have an internal team handling bug fixes and working directly with our clients to ensure quality.
As a former V.P of Product with this being my third start-up, I can genuinely say I was lucky to have found and engaged with this team. Before speaking with Jayant and Umesh, we had gone through two different development firms both domestic in the U.S.A.; we were overcharged for code that was rendered almost useless. When Jayant and his team came on board they not only built clean, usable code–they ensured we had a product that was scalable and flexible enough to address the needs of the market. This has helped us to earn early customers and gain investor confidence in a very restricted financial accounting space.
